Lincoln will be 6 months on Wednesday! I can't belive he is growing up so fast. I have a feeling he is going to be a HUGE momma's boy:) and I have a feeling I am going to baby him like no other!
About a month ago, Lincoln got sick and was put on antiobotics. He was also just starting to eat cereal. He started vomiting everything about 3 hours after eating just a small amount of cereal. The 1st time I thought it was due to the meds, so a week later we tried food again. But the same thing happened. After an ultrasound and bloodwork, we realized that Lincoln has the same blood disease that me and lots of my family have...Hereditary Spherocytosis. We expected one of the kids to have it, McKinley has never been tested because she has never shown signs of having it. We had our 1st visit with the Onocology/Hematology Clinic at ETCH. They are the NICEST people I have ever met! We were very pleased with our visit and are hoping Lincoln has a mild form. He is on daily folic acid to help with the anemia. Of course me being a worried mommy, I am convinced his is severe and I am terrified that he will have to have a blood transfusion. We are still trying to determine what his hemoglobin basline will be and should only get concerned if he get jaundiced, has a fever or is sick. Otherwise we will have visits every 6 months with the Clinic.
He is still having problems eating food, so we are going to start with very small amounts in his bottle and go from there.
we just had his 6 month check-up...he has slowed down on growing just a little...

Lincoln is the sweetest little boy. He loves watching his sister! She loves to torment him, but he doesn't mind as much as mommy does! He rolls like crazy but has no interest in standing or sitting. He will talk and coo all day long. You gotta do something really silly for him to laugh! He mostly laughs at mommy:) He is still going to work with me and I LOVE it. I don't always acomplish a lot of work, BUT i get to love on my sweet boy all day. I may start him at the sitters with his sister at the 1st of the year...He is still waking to eat at night and has only had breastmilk. I'm almost always tired but I will still get up to feed him when he's 4 if he needs it:) I can't believe 6 months has already past, it makes me sad to think this will be my last baby:( We may just have to have 1 more!

This post almost made me want to cry, it was so sweet. Yes, Linc is the sweetest thing ever. And you have to have another baby with me of course!
What a sweetie he is! So sorry to hear about the HS, we pray that it is very mild and manageable. Please keep us posted.
