While some of you had a romantic Valentine's Day weekend, we went to Kentucky to get a puppy for Uncle Boo Boo (Chad). It is a
basenji. Basenjis are native to Africa and have been around for thousands of years. They ar e unlike any other breed of dog. They do not bark (although it is not mute), do not shed, do not smell, and lick theirselves clean like a cat. McKinley loved playing with Ziggy. She is still a little too rough with any animal that will hang around her long enough to get its hair pulled but she is learning.

btw...my husband posted the above. This is me now...You think what a romantic Valentine's Day...driving over 4 houres to Kentucky to get a puppy. Well I couldn't have thought of a better way to spend th day...well maybe if McKinley got to go with us. I LOVE puppies asd I got to see all kinds. Now I just wish a little that we bought one for us instead of Chad:) I couldn't sleep Saturday night thinking about him.

He will be about 17 inches tall at the shoulder and 24 pounds as an adult.

I want one too! I think you could have taken orders!!!!!!!! The boys would LOVE it! Maybe Chad can bring it by to see Jack and Jake this week????? That want a dog so bad (besides the 100 lb dog at the farm). Cute Cute!
There are still some left in Kentucky. Also, in Johnson City and Nashville.
