daddy hard at work...
this little girl LOVES cheese...just like her aunt Kylie:)
and she loves to get in my purse...she already know where I keep my phone and keys
and loves getting in boxes on on top of them. She is now just starting to get on top of things, like the couch, bed, her little kitchen.
McKinley is starting to get a little cold, right now she has a runny nose. Hopefully it won't get any worse. She is also starting to not listen to anything we say and does what she wants to do. We have tried "no touch", smacking her hand, moving her away and giving her something else to play with. Nothing works. ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

Really cute post..she acts like she is 3!!!
Fran-no advice?
Its a girl thing! Is Justin looking at Iphones?
I think McKinley is looking more like you as she gets older.
You probably don't want my advice. We have been spaking Anna for a while now and it works. Joe and I hate it more than she does, but she learns her lesson pretty quickly after getting spanked.
YAY! McKinley and I can have a cheese party!! :)
Let's see. . . Try getting in her face. Get down on her level, right in front of her-like a few inches from her face, change the tone of your voice, tell her no and why it's a no. If that doesn't work, do it again and add a spank. You might have to do spank a few times before she associates the "in your face" with the spank, but Gav caught on pretty quickly to that. But he was kind of sensitive so that was all it took. McKinley might not be so sensitive. . . she might just be a little ball of fire!!! :) Then, praise her like crazy when she does what you ask. There's my book on discipline. hehehee :)
It is so cute watching her get into everything... she's such a big girl!
Time-outs work well for us, and we started them when Jaryn was a little over a year if I remember correctly. We would just put him in time-out for a short amount of time, like 30 seconds to a minute. At first you have to of course explain time-out and that their specific behavior will lead to time-out, etc. Then after time-out, we'd remind him what we wanted him to do and give him a big kiss and I LOVE YOU :-)
Hopefully with all the good advice you guys will find what works just right for you!
P.S. We typically have time-out in the same room where we are or somewhere close by so we can make sure he stays there and is not off crawling around somewhere!
Ha Ha!! :) I don't really like to give discipline advice b/c it is so personal :) We have read Toddler Wise and both Super Nanny books. Mom and Uncle Glenn have helped a lot too, but that is just what seems to work for us!! Discipline was a real challenge at times, so stay positive and encouraged. God gives every child has a different personality!
Is that Fran posting on Kylie's name? Kacy-I have to defend Justin here(because he made me) he is listening to Pandora and just so happen to have an ad for iphone. His work is going on on the other monitor:). Thanks for all the advice, hopefully we will figure something out soon. I am just waiting for it to pass, and I think we just have a rotten girl:)
